Key Responsibilities

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all credit card hardship, settlement, and customer assistance operations strictly follow Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines and internal bank policies.
- Legal Documentation & Review: Handle legal documentation, notices, agreements, and correspondence related to credit card hardship cases and account restructuring.
- Risk & Dispute Mitigation: Provide legal guidance to the Hardship Assistance Unit to identify, assess, and mitigate operational and legal risks.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with the collections, credit, risk,



and operations teams to ensure lawful practices during debt resolution.
- External Counsel Management: Coordinate with external advocates or legal entities whenever required for contested matters or escalations.

Typical Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent legal qualification.
- Experience: Varies by level (typically ranging from mid-level to senior roles requiring several years of experience in banking laws, retail assets, or credit/risk compliance).
