Application Support Engineer / Data Engineering TechOps / L2 Platform Support Engineer

Job DescriptionRole Overview:

We are hiring a Data Engineering TechOps / L1/ L2 Support Engineer with 1+ years of experience. You will ensure the stability, monitoring, and high availability of our large-scale Data Engineering Platform. This role requires working in a 24x7 rotational shift workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

- L2 Operations: Manage day-to-day operations and L2 support for the Data Engineering Platform to meet strict SLOs.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve complex technical issues across Spark, Airflow, Kafka, NiFi, S3, and Hadoop.
- Incident Management: Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), service restoration, and handle user escalations.
- Monitoring & Alerts: Maintain dashboards, metrics, and alerts using the ELK stack and monitor Kubernetes/EKS and Java APIs.
- Automation:



Develop automation scripts and self-healing mechanisms to reduce manual effort.
- Collaboration: Partner with L1 and L3 teams, and maintain SOPs and operational reports.

Required Profile (Must-Haves):

- Experience: 1+ years in TechOps or Platform Support within a Data Engineering ecosystem.
- Technical Stack: Hands-on troubleshooting in Spark, Airflow, Kafka, NiFi, ELK, Hadoop, and Linux.
- Infrastructure: Experience monitoring and debugging workloads in Kubernetes/EKS.
- Shift Flexibility: Must be willing to work in a 24x7 rotational shift model.

Preferred Skills (Good-to-Haves):

- Domain experience in the Telecom sector.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB, Aerospike).
- Familiarity with DataHub tools, Data Mesh, or Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
