Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced API Management Engineer with solid expertise in Java backend development, API lifecycle management, API gateway configuration, and API security. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing REST APIs and microservices, managing APIs through an API Management platform, and implementing secure, scalable API solutions.

Experience with Gravitee API Management is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and manage APIs using API Management platforms and API gateways.
- Configure API policies, routing, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, throttling, and access controls.
- Develop and maintain backend APIs and microservices using Java and RESTful architecture.
- Manage the API lifecycle, including API design, publishing, versioning, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and other relevant security standards.
- Integrate APIs with backend services, databases, and third-party applications.
- Work with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB for data integration and persistence.




- Use Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and container orchestration.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Collaborate with architecture, development, DevOps, and security teams to deliver reliable and scalable API solutions.
- Troubleshoot API gateway issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration failures.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in API Management and API Gateway technologies.
- Experience with Java backend development and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of API lifecycle management and gateway policy configuration.
- Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API security.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with Gravitee API Management.
- Experience with other API Management platforms such as Apigee, Kong, WSO2, or similar technologies.
- Experience with microservices architecture and enterprise API integrations.

Candidate Profile
- 8–10 years of overall IT experience.
- 3–4 years of experience in API Management.
- 5–6 years of experience in backend API development.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
