Analog Mixed-Signal (AMS) Verification Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Analog Mixed-Signal (AMS) Verification Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of industry experience specializing in the verification of complex AMS systems and chips. This role involves developing robust verification strategies, creating and maintaining advanced behavioral models,



and ensuring comprehensive functional and performance coverage for semiconductor designs.

Key Responsibilities

- `Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans and detailed test scenarios based on analog and mixed-signal design specifications. `
- `Create high-level behavioral models for analog blocks using industry-standard languages such as SystemVerilog Real Number Modeling (SV-RNM), Verilog-AMS, Verilog-A, and VAMS wreal. `
- `Design, implement, and debug UVM or UVM-MS based testbenches for functional verification at the block, subsystem, and full-chip levels. `
- `Perform mixed-signal co-simulation (AMS and DMS DV) integrating analog models with digital RTL/Gate+SDFs. `
- `Conduct coverage analysis, track verification metrics (Metric Driven Verification/MDV), and manage large regression suites using tools like Cadence vManager. `
- `Collaborate closely with design, architecture, and layout teams to identify, debug, and resolve complex mixed-signal design issues. `
- `Automate verification flows, workplace setups, and data analysis using scripting languages. `

Required Technical Skills

Languages and Methodologies

- `Expertise in Hardware Verification Languages (HVLs)

- `Scripting proficiency in Python, Perl, or Tcl for automation. `
- `Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI). `

EDA Tools:
- `Strong hands-on experience with mixed-signal simulators such as Cadence Xcelium (or Synopsys VCS) and Spectre/Spectre AMS Designer. `
- `Familiarity with schematic capture and waveform viewers (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, SimVision). `
- `Experience with Metric Driven Verification tools (e.g., Cadence vManager). `

Domain Knowledge:
- `Verification experience with a variety of Analog/Mixed-Signal building blocks, including: `
- Power Management ICs (PMIC, LDO, Buck/Boost Converters, Bandgap References, Voltage Monitors).
- Data Converters (ADC, DAC).
- Clocking/Timing Circuits (PLLs, VCOs, Oscillators).

Qualifications
- `B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or a related field. `
- `Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in Analog/Mixed-Signal Verification. `
