About the Role
Capricorn Logistics is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Air Import Customer Service professional to join our team.
The role involves managing air import documentation, shipment coordination, customer communication, delivery orders and daily shipment follow-ups while ensuring smooth and timely handling of import shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and cross-check air import pre-alert documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Handle IGM online filing and ensure timely documentation.
- Monitor daily flight schedules and shipment status.
- Coordinate with customers regarding pre-alert documentation, particularly for nomination shipments.
- Prepare and send Cargo Arrival Notices to customers.
- Coordinate with field staff for the daily collection of Delivery Order (DO) documents.
- Process and issue Air Import Delivery Orders to customers/CHAs along with required supporting documents, including MAWB, HAWB, airline D/O and supplier invoices.
- Ensure shipment documents are properly scanned and uploaded into the company system.
- Follow up with customers to confirm receipt of dispatched documents and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain daily updates for key-account shipments, including pre-alert and cargo arrival details.
- Follow up with customers and agents on pending Delivery Orders and ensure timely closure.
- Verify agent debit notes against agreed buy rates and ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with customers, agents, airlines, field teams and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment handling.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in Air Import / Freight Forwarding / Logistics Customer Service.
- Good understanding of air import documentation and processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent coordination,
communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant logistics/ERP systems.
- Customer-focused approach with strong stakeholder management skills.
