AI Product Owner – Core Banking

Contract: 12 months

Start: Immediate

Location: Fully Remote from India - Occasional Travel to the Middle East. All business travel, accommodation and visa costs will be covered.

Key responsibilities

- Define the product vision, roadmap, scope and prioritised backlog for AI-enabled banking capabilities.
- Translate business and user needs into explicit requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Establish success measures covering business outcomes, user experience, adoption and AI performance.
- Define AI guardrails, human oversight, escalation paths and recourse where AI outputs lead to incorrect or unexpected outcomes.
- Work with technical teams to monitor model drift, performance deterioration and user feedback, identifying retraining and improvement needs.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and user adoption across business, technology, operations and control functions.
- Support vendor assessments and manage delivery scope in line with the agreed roadmap.

What we’re looking for





- Proven Product Owner experience within banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of core banking processes, with experience across payments, cards, remittances or related banking products.
- Experience delivering AI or machine learning-enabled products, with an understanding of how their performance and outcomes are monitored.
- Ability to translate banking requirements into practical AI use cases with measurable value.
- Understanding of responsible AI, governance, human oversight and controls within a regulated environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with engineering, data science and business teams.
- Experience managing Agile backlogs, prioritisation, delivery dependencies and external vendors.
- Availability to start immediately and flexibility to meet the future Riyadh travel requirement.
