Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated AI/ML Engineer to contribute to the development of a Multimodal AI Platform for healthcare applications. The role focuses on developing, training, evaluating, and integrating machine learning and deep learning models using physiological signals, medical images, structured datasets, and text. The candidate will collaborate with in-house teams to build reliable, efficient, and scalable AI solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesAI/ML Model Development

- Develop, train, evaluate, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models for classification, regression, prediction, and pattern recognition.
- Apply suitable neural network architectures, including CNNs, LSTMs, and Transformers, where relevant.
- Perform feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and model performance analysis.

Multimodal AI & Data Processing

- Work with time-series signals, images, structured healthcare datasets, and textual information.
- Implement data cleaning, preprocessing, normalization, feature extraction, and appropriate data fusion methods.
- Develop reusable pipelines for dataset preparation, model training, validation, and inference; address missing data and data quality issues.

Model Testing & Validation

- Assess accuracy, robustness, reliability, and generalization across suitable datasets.
- Use relevant measures such as precision, recall, F1-score, ROC-AUC, MAE, and RMSE depending on the task.
- Investigate prediction errors, potential bias, data leakage, and performance limitations; document results and experiments.

Model Integration & Deployment

- Integrate trained models into backend services and application workflows.
- Develop and support Python-based inference APIs and optimize latency and computational efficiency.
- Collaborate with software and cloud teams on deployment, testing, and model updates.

Research & Technical Collaboration

- Evaluate pretrained models, suitable algorithms, and frameworks for proofs of concept.
- Contribute to technical discussions, debugging, design reviews, and feasibility assessments.
- Maintain clear documentation, reusable code, and version control.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong Python programming skills with hands-on AI/ML model development experience.
- Sound understanding of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals; practical knowledge of model training and evaluation.
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow/Keras and libraries such as Scikit-learn, NumPy, and Pandas.
- Ability to preprocess datasets, engineer features, tune models, and interpret validation results.
- Working knowledge of CNNs, LSTMs, or Transformers.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to multi-input neural networks.
- Experience with time-series analysis, signal processing, computer vision, or NLP.

- Basic Familiarity with ECG, PPG, other biomedical signals, healthcare datasets, or medical imaging.
- Exposure to transfer learning, pretrained models, or foundation models.
- Basic familiarity with REST APIs, FastAPI, Docker, MLflow, or cloud platforms (AWS).
- Awareness of healthcare data privacy, explainability, and responsible AI practices.

Educational Qualification B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Data Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience Requirements

2 - 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in AI/ML model development, deep learning, data processing, or AI-based application development. Experience developing, testing, and integrating models is preferred. Prior healthcare domain experience is an added advantage, not mandatory.

Key Competencies

Analytical problem-solving, Practical model debugging, Working with real-world datasets, Model evaluation and optimization, Cross-functional collaboration, Transparent technical communication, and Willingness to learn emerging AI technologies
