We are looking for an experienced AEM Backend (Node.js) Developer with Adobe App Builder expertise to work on our AEM Crosswalk project, leveraging Edge Delivery Services (EDS), AEM as the authoring source, and Universal Editor.

This is a backend and integration-focused role requiring strong experience in AEM as a Cloud Service, Node.js, Adobe App Builder, serverless development, and CDN edge functions. The role does not involve front-end development, UI styling, or block UI implementation.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure and set up AEM as a Cloud Service authoring setting for Crosswalk, including content structures, component models, and publishing workflows to Edge Delivery Services.
- Configure Universal Editor component definitions, models, and filters using JSON-based configurations, without UI styling or front-end development.
- Develop Adobe App Builder extensions and backend services, including Runtime Actions, I/O Events, and API orchestration.
- Build, deploy, and maintain edge functions for routing, redirects, caching, HTTP header management, and personalization.
- Integrate AEM and Edge Delivery Services with Adobe and third-party platforms, including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Adobe Commerce, and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
- Develop and maintain backend services and integrations using Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Implement REST and GraphQL API integrations while ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, environment configuration, deployment processes, and production issue resolution.
- Collaborate with architects,



QA engineers, and DevOps teams on solution design, technical reviews, testing, and implementation.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and deployment best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant software development experience, with strong backend and integration expertise.
- Hands-on experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
- Good understanding of Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS) and Crosswalk architecture.
- Practical experience developing backend extensions and services using Adobe App Builder and Node.js.
- Experience with Adobe Runtime Actions, I/O Events, and API orchestration.
- Hands-on experience writing and deploying edge functions on CDN platforms such as Fastly, Akamai, or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for backend and serverless development.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, API integration patterns, caching strategies, and CDN concepts.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and Agile development methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to architecture discussions and technical reviews.

Good to Have
- Experience with Java-based backend development.
- Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Commerce, and DAM integrations.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues in cloud-based and serverless environments.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, security, and scalable integration architecture.
