Announcement of Vacancy for the Position of Research Associate & Field Investigators under the ICSSR Project Under an ICSSR-Funded Research Project

Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates for the temporary positions of Research Associate (01) and Field Investigator (02) under an Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR)-funded research project titled “Strengthening Adolescent Reproductive Health through Youth-Led Peer Education: A Behaviour Change Intervention in Rural Chikkaballapura, Karnataka’

Eligibility and Qualifications

Research Associate:

: Execute specific project-related outputs of the programme by conducting Intervention, overseeing and undertaking research and organizing material. Data Collection, Compilation, Coding, Pimary Research, Data Analysis & Report Writing.

Qualification: Post-graduate in a subject relevant to the research area of the Project or any social science or allied discipline (55% minimum) with NET /M.Phil. / Ph.D. and with 2 years of research experience, in addition to the above qualifications.

Field Investigator:

: Facilitating Intervention, Data Collection, Compilation, Coding, Primary Research, and Data Analysis & Report Writing.

Qualification: Graduate in any social science discipline with a minimum 55% marks. Preference will be given to candidates with a four-year graduation program Candidates with relevant postgraduate qualifications in social sciences or allied disciplines, and an interest or experience in field surveys, data collection, interviews,



and research documentation, are encouraged to apply.

Project details

We invite applications from suitable candidates for the positions of Research Associate for a period of 16 months and for Field Investigator for 03 months (extendable for another 3 months based on performance). Our requirement is for a agile and highly motivated individual who will fulfil the following responsibilities of this position:

a. Proficient in Kannada and Telugu b. Execute specific project-related outputs of the programme by overseeing and undertaking Intervention and research.

c. Organize logistics and liaisons.

d. Data Collection and Field Research e. Assist in the dissemination of results and publications.

Note:

1. The above positions are temporary in nature till the requirements of the project. The appointment will not be bestowed upon any claim for a regular appointment.

2. The positions and remuneration are subject to the applicable ICSSR project guidelines and institutional rules.

3. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

4. No TA/DA shall be admissible to attend the interview.

5. The interview schedule and other details will be notified on the university website.
