Role Description The Accountant role at Excelsia (India) Branding & Entertainment is a full-time, on-site position based in Bhopal. The Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, including recording journal entries, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts. The role includes preparing invoices, processing payments, tracking expenses, and ensuring accurate documentation of all financial activities.

The Accountant will assist in monthly and annual closing, support budgeting and forecasting, and prepare basic financial reports for management. The position also involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls,



while coordinating with internal teams and external partners such as auditors and vendors.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
- Experience with bookkeeping, invoicing, expense tracking, and preparation of basic financial statements and management reports.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, or similar tools) and proficiency in MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and statutory filings relevant to Indian businesses.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to meet deadlines in a rapid-paced, client-focused environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external auditors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or similar) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in the events, branding, or entertainment industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
