Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Professional specializing in Partnership (Form 1065) and State and Local Tax (SALT) matters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing complex federal and state partnership tax returns, conducting in-depth SALT research, and providing strategic tax planning advice to a diverse client base. This role requires a strong understanding of partnership tax law, multi-state tax compliance, and the ability to navigate intricate tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review complex federal and state partnership income tax returns (Form 1065 and related schedules) for various industries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

- Specialize in State and Local Tax (SALT) compliance, including preparing and reviewing multi-state income, franchise, sales & use, and property tax returns for partnerships.

- Conduct thorough tax research on complex federal and state tax issues, particularly those impacting partnerships and pass-through entities, and provide clear,



concise recommendations.

- Assist clients with SALT planning and consulting, including nexus studies, apportionment methodologies, tax incentive programs, and audit defense strategies.

- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary financial information, clarify tax positions, and resolve tax-related inquiries.

- Stay current with changes in federal and state tax laws, regulations, and court decisions, especially those affecting partnerships and SALT, and assess their impact on clients.

- Support tax controversy matters, including responding to federal and state tax notices and assisting with audits.

- Utilize various tax software and research tools efficiently to enhance productivity and accuracy.

- Mentor junior staff and contribute to their career development in partnership and SALT taxation.

- Identify and implement tax-saving strategies for clients while maintaining compliance.
