Job Title: Workday Benefits Functional Consultant
Work Shift: 2:00 PM 11:00 PM IST (US Overlap)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Workday Benefits Functional Consultant to lead end-to-end benefits configuration, Open Enrollment (OE) execution, and Tier-3 production support. This role involves configuring complex benefit groups, plans, eligibility rules, and calculated fields while collaborating directly with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on functional configuration of Workday Benefits, including Benefit Groups, Plans, Coverage Rules, Rates, Eligibility, and Event Rules.
- Drive the Open Enrollment (OE) lifecycle end-to-end, including pre-OE setup, testing, enrollment windows, year-end processing, and post-OE reconciliation prior to 1/1.
- Manage out-of-sequence events, Q4 life changes, and M&A;/acquisition-related benefits onboarding.
- Build and troubleshoot advanced Calculated Fields, conditional logic, and business validation rules.
- Partner with integration teams on carrier/third-party EDI feeds,



EIB loads, and comprehensive integration testing.
- Deliver custom reporting using Workday Report Writer for benefit audits and vendor reconciliations.
- Provide Tier-3 production support, diagnosing complex system defects and delivering root-cause resolution.
- Prepare end-user presentation/training collateral and conduct system walk-throughs for business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 10 years of solid hands-on functional experience in Workday Benefits configuration.
- Proven track record leading multiple full-cycle Open Enrollment (OE) implementations.
- Deep expertise in Workday Benefit Groups, Plans, Eligibility Rules, and Event Rules.
- Strong functional knowledge of Calculated Fields, Validation Rules, and Business Processes (BP).
- Practical familiarity with EIB data loads, Report Writer, and Carrier EDI file testing.
- Ability to work aligned with US business hours (2:00 PM 11:00 PM IST).
