The Infrastructure Specialist, System Administration will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and leading enterprise server infrastructure operations in a large global client workplace. The role requires strong hands-on experience in Linux, Windows Server, or IBM AIX administration, along with expertise in server migrations, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, high availability, clustering, automation, and disaster recovery. The candidate will act as an L3 escalation point, lead complex incident resolution, drive root-cause analysis, and mentor junior administrators.

Responsibilities





• Act as the L3 escalation point and technical lead for Linux, Windows or AIX server environments.

• Lead server migrations, OS upgrades and data centre or cloud transitions, including assessment, planning, execution and validation.

• Design and implement high availability and clustering solutions, such as Pacemaker, Windows Failover Clustering or PowerHA.

• Own major incidents end to end, lead root-cause analysis and drive permanent fixes.

• Define and enforce standards for patching, hardening, monitoring and backup across the estate.

• Build automation frameworks with Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell or Python to reduce manual effort.

• Review and approve technical changes, and represent the team in change advisory meetings.

• Mentor L1/L2 administrators and review their work.

• Communicate clearly with client stakeholders on incidents, risks and service improvement plans.
