Senior SQL Data Engineer | C2H

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SQL Data Engineer to develop, maintain, and modernize enterprise data platforms. The candidate should have strong SQL and Python skills, along with hands on experience in data pipeline development, cloud data migration, and data integration.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for business analytics and reporting.
Analyse legacy data systems and support end to end data platform migration, including planning, implementation, validation, and decommissioning.
Build and optimize data solutions using SQL, Python, and cloud based data platforms.
Manage data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and monitoring using ETL/ELT tools.
Identify data dependencies, resolve data quality issues, and improve pipeline performance.
Work with analytics, BI, product, and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
Develop and maintain integrations with internal systems, external APIs, and third party marketing platforms.
Support BI and reporting platforms, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and performance.
Take ownership of technical delivery, documentation, production support, and knowledge transfer.

Mandatory Technical Skills

Robust hands on experience with SQL and Python.




Experience working in production data engineering environments.
Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as BigQuery and Snowflake.
Experience with cloud data migration and platform modernization.
Hands on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Talend.
Understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and query optimization.
Experience with API integrations, data ingestion, and data quality management.
Knowledge of at least one cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience with data processing frameworks such as Spark or Kafka.
Exposure to BI and reporting tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
Familiarity with Git, Jira, and collaborative development practices.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Looker or Mode analytics platforms.

Experience integrating marketing data from search engines, social media, and third party sources.
Knowledge of distributed systems and modern data pipeline architecture.
Ability to create technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and architecture diagrams using tools such as Miro, Lucidchart, draw.io, Confluence, or Notion.

Education

A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred as specified in the original requirement. Equivalent relevant work experience may also be considered.
