Overview

TRC Companies is looking for a passionate and curious Intern to join our Advanced Energy (AE) Technology Group within POWER Sector in India. This internship is designed for recent graduates who are interested in building a career in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.

As an Intern, you will work alongside experienced QA Engineers and Developers to learn software testing fundamentals, automation frameworks, API testing, and modern quality engineering practices. This is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience in software development and testing while contributing to product quality.

Responsibilities

- Learn and understand application functionality, business requirements, and user workflows.
- Create and execute manual test cases to validate software functionality.
- Assist in identifying, documenting,



and tracking software defects.
- Participate in functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing activities.
- Learn and contribute to automated test script development under the guidance of senior team members.
- Support web application and API testing efforts.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA engineers to ensure product quality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Assist in maintaining test documentation and test execution reports.
- Continuously learn and adopt software testing and automation best practices.

Qualifications

- Recent graduate or currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software development concepts.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, Java Script, Python, or C#.
- Basic Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Basic knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Java Script.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Duration:

- 3-6 Months (with potential for extension or pre-placement consideration based on performance)

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills:

- Academic, personal, or project experience involving software testing or automation
- Familiarity with Git or version control systems.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Exposure to automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of API concepts and testing tools such as Postman.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies through coursework or projects.
