Job Summary

BIBA is looking for an experienced Factory Head to lead end-to-end garment manufacturing operations, ensuring production efficiency, product quality, timely delivery, cost optimisation, and compliance with company standards. The role will oversee production planning, manufacturing, quality, manpower, maintenance, and factory operations to achieve business targets while maintaining high standards of apparel quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Factory Operations & Production

- Manage end-to-end factory operations, including cutting, stitching, finishing, packing, and dispatch.

- Develop production plans and ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

- Optimise production capacity, machine utilisation, and workforce productivity.

- Monitor production efficiency, line balancing, bottlenecks, and turnaround time.

2. Quality Management

- Ensure adherence to garment quality standards at every stage of manufacturing.

- Coordinate with quality teams to minimise defects, rework, rejection, and customer complaints.

- Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality.

- Ensure finished garments meet approved specifications and brand requirements.

3. Manpower & Team Management

- Lead production managers, supervisors, quality teams, maintenance staff, and factory workers.

- Manage workforce planning, shift scheduling, productivity, training, and performance.

- Build a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork,



and continuous improvement.

4. Cost & Productivity Optimisation

- Control manufacturing costs, wastage, overtime, and material consumption.

- Improve production efficiency through lean manufacturing and process improvements.

- Monitor key performance indicators such as output per operator, line efficiency, rejection rates, and cost per garment.

5. Planning & Supply Chain Coordination

- Coordinate with merchandising, sourcing, procurement, planning, and warehouse teams.

- Ensure availability of fabrics, trims, accessories, and other production materials.

- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders.

- Resolve material shortages and production delays to meet delivery commitments.

6. Machinery & Maintenance

- Ensure optimal utilisation and maintenance of production machinery and equipment.

- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.

- Identify opportunities for process automation and manufacturing improvements.

7. Compliance, Safety & Statutory Requirements

- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, factory regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental requirements.

- Maintain factory documentation, audit records, and operational reports.

- Ensure protected working conditions and adherence to company policies.

8. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

- Prepare regular reports on production, quality, cost, efficiency, and manpower.

- Identify operational risks and implement improvement initiatives.

- Drive continuous improvement through standard operating procedures and performance monitoring.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Apparel Manufacturing, Textile Technology, Garment Technology, or a related field.
