Purpose of the Position

To lead and manage the Company's direct tax function, ensuring full compliance with the provisions of the Income-tax Act, 1961 and 2025, while independently handling tax assessments, litigations, audits, transfer pricing matters, and strategic tax planning. The incumbent will represent the Company before tax authorities and provide proactive tax advisory support to management and business teams.

Key responsibilities-

Direct Tax Compliance:
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the Company and related entities.
• Manage end-to-end corporate tax compliance, including advance tax calculations, tax provisioning, tax payments, and withholding tax (TDS/TCS) compliances.
• Review and monitor tax positions adopted by the Company and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.
• Ensure timely filing of SFT (Statement of Financial Transactions) and other information returns prescribed under tax laws.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors and tax auditors for completion of tax audits and reporting requirements.




• Lead and manage Tax Audit proceedings under the Income-tax Act.
• Manage Transfer Pricing compliances.

Litigation and Representation:
• Independently handle income-tax assessments, reassessments, surveys, scrutiny proceedings, and tax audits.
• Draft and review submissions, replies, appeals, rectification applications, and representations before tax authorities.
• Represent the Company before Assessing Officers, Transfer Pricing Officers, CPC, CIT(A), DRP, and other tax authorities.
• Liaise with external counsels, consultants, and senior management in relation to complex tax matters and litigation strategy.
• Maintain litigation trackers and periodically report tax exposures, contingent liabilities, and ongoing disputes.

Tax Planning & Advisory:
• Provide strategic tax advice on business transactions, corporate restructuring, acquisitions, investments, and cross-border transactions.
