Role Description The Heart and Lung Transplant Coordinator is a full time, on-site role based at KIMS Hospitals, Bengaluru South. This role involves coordinating all aspects of heart and lung transplant care, including patient evaluation, listing, pre-transplant workup, and post-transplant follow-up.



The coordinator works closely with transplant surgeons, cardiologists, pulmonologists, intensivists, nursing teams, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless clinical pathways and timely interventions. Daily responsibilities include tracking diagnostic tests, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, facilitating communication between patients, families, and the transplant team, and supporting organ allocation and donation processes in accordance with regulatory and ethical guidelines. The role also includes patient and family education on transplant procedures, medication adherence, lifestyle changes, and long-term care, as well as participation in quality improvement activities related to transplant outcomes.
