About the role
We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build and scale the systems behind Ambee's
climate intelligence products. You'll build high-throughput applications and large, data-driven
applications that our customers rely on to run climate intelligence and make better business
decisions. You'll own features end to end, from APIs, data stores and pipelines to the React
applications customers use daily. The work involves millions of API calls, large datasets and
heavy aggregations.



You'll also guide other engineers and help set technical direction.

What you'll do
• Gather requirements with stakeholders and turn them into documented, scalable, fault-tolerant and highly available designs.
• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs in Node.js, using a microservices approach, that handle millions of requests reliably.
• Build quick, responsive, SEO-friendly front-end applications and dashboards in React.
• Model and optimise data across MongoDB and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), including complex queries and aggregation pipelines over large datasets.
• Use Redis for caching, rate limiting, queues and other performance-critical patterns.
• Architect, deploy and monitor services on AWS with a focus on performance, availability and cost.
• Tune performance across the stack, including query optimisation, indexing, caching, concurrency, load handling and deployment strategy.
