Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Virtual Medical Assistant to join our remote healthcare team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, virtual environment and is passionate about providing excellent patient care. As a Virtual Medical Assistant, you will support healthcare providers by managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient communications, and ensuring smooth operations within our digital platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Patient Coordination: Schedule appointments, manage patient communications, and provide follow-up support via phone, email, or our online portal.
- Medical Records Management: Accurately update and maintain electronic health records (EHRs), ensuring data privacy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Administrative Support: Assist with billing, insurance verification, and other administrative tasks to streamline office operations.
- Communication: Serve as the first point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Telehealth Support: Provide technical support for virtual consultations and help guide patients through the telehealth process.
- Documentation: Prepare and distribute patient instructions, appointment reminders, and other necessary documentation.

Qualifications

- Experience: Previous experience in a medical administrative role or as a medical assistant,



preferably in a virtual setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with EHR systems, scheduling software, and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, telehealth platforms).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a friendly and empathetic demeanor.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a remote work environment.
- Certifications: Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not required.
- Compliance: Familiarity with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations.
