Job Description:

A Control Room Operator (CRO) / Assistant Engineer manages, monitors, and optimizes industrial, power plant, or facility control systems to ensure safe and continuous operations. [1] Job Overview

- Role Type: Technical / Operations / Engineering
- Reports To: Production Supervisor, Chief Engineer, or Plant Manager
- Primary Objective: Monitor automated systems from a central control room, maintain equipment safety standards, and assist in plant or site operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Control Room Operations: Monitor and adjust Distributed Control Systems (DCS), ICSS, Fire & Gas (F&G;), and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) panels.
- Process Optimization: Manage plant start-ups, shutdowns, routine parameter adjustments, and troubleshooting to meet production targets.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce Quality, Health, Safety, and Workplace (QHSE) guidelines, manage Permit to Work (PTW) documentation, and respond to plant emergencies.
- Maintenance Coordination: Schedule preventive maintenance, track work orders, coordinate with field engineers or subcontractors,



and monitor chemical or material inventories.
- Reporting & Logs: Maintain accurate shift logs, record production data, and compile incident or performance reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma (D.A.E.) in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
- Experience: Generally 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in power plants, oil & gas, or industrial process facilities.
- Technical Skills:
- - Proficiency in DCS, SCADA, or CMMS software.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and HVAC/utility systems.
- Understanding of safety protocols, fire codes, and emergency response procedures.

- Soft Skills: Problem-solving, quick decision-making under pressure, clear communication, and teamwork
