Role Description The Senior Resident OncoSurgery role is a full-time, on-site position based at Sarvesh Healthcity in Hisar.

The Senior

Resident will assist in the evaluation, pre-operative planning, and surgical management of patients with oncological conditions under the supervision of senior consultants. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in outpatient clinics, managing inpatient and post-operative care, performing procedures appropriate to training level, and contributing to tumor boards and multidisciplinary case discussions. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, adhering to infection control and safety protocols, and coordinating with nursing and allied health teams to ensure continuity of care.

The Senior

Resident is expected to take part in academic activities such as clinical meetings, case presentations, audits,



and research initiatives related to surgical oncology.

Qualifications

- Completed MBBS from a recognized institution and relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., MS General Surgery or equivalent), with valid medical council registration.
- Foundational experience in general surgery, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative management in a hospital setting.
- Demonstrated interest or prior exposure to surgical oncology, including understanding of cancer staging, treatment pathways, and multidisciplinary management.
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to follow evidence-based guidelines and hospital protocols.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, including capacity to provide clear, compassionate counseling.
- Ability to manage emergency surgical and oncological situations, prioritize tasks, and remain composed in high-pressure clinical environments.
- Commitment to continuous learning, participation in academic activities, and openness to feedback and supervision for skill enhancement.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic medical records, report writing, and use of hospital information systems; prior involvement in clinical research or audits is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including on-call duties, as per departmental requirements.
