Role Description
SKI Design Studio is seeking a highly creative, organized, and inspiring Senior Interior Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will take the lead in developing innovative interior design concepts and delivering high-quality residential projects from initial planning to final design sign-off.
The ideal candidate should possess a solid design aesthetic, excellent technical knowledge of materials and modular construction, and proficiency in drafting, 3D visualization, and design presentation tools. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong coordination and problem-solving skills who can translate client requirements into functional, elegant, and thoughtfully designed spaces while maintaining the highest standards of quality and design excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design Leadership & Team Management
- Team Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and upskill a team of 3–5 junior and mid-level interior designers, fostering a culture of creative excellence and continuous learning.
- Design QA & Review: Oversee and review the team’s design outputs, 3D renders, working drawings (GFCs), and material specs to ensure they meet SKI Design Studio’s quality standards.
- Workflow Optimization:
Manage design timelines, resource allocation, and team bandwidth to ensure projects are delivered on schedule without compromising design integrity.
2. End-to-End Project Design
- Concept Development: Lead the creative vision for residential projects, translating client briefs into exceptional, contemporary design concepts, mood boards, and space plans.
- Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, confidently pitching design concepts, managing expectations, and guiding them through material selections.
- Technical Execution: Produce and supervise flawless 2D layouts, detailed sections, elevation drawings, and 3D renderings (with a strong focus on modular kitchens, wardrobes, and bespoke furniture).
- Material Sourcing: Stay ahead of market trends to curate premium material palettes, hardware, finishes, and lighting configurations.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
- Site & Production Alignment: Collaborate closely with the project department to ensure design intent translates perfectly on-site.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design.
- Preferably 5+ years of relevant interior design experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Working knowledge of D5 Render, V-Ray, or Enscape.
- Skills in Canva and Adobe Photoshop for design presentations.
- Strong communication, creativity, and attention to detail.
Notice Period: Candidates serving a 15–30 day notice period are preferred. Immediate joiners are welcome.
Salary: ₹7,20,000–₹8,40,000 per annum, depending on experience and suitability.
Location: Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
