We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our Accounts Receivable team as a Deduction Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, validating, and resolving customer deductions by reviewing supporting documentation, analyzing deduction trends and transaction data, and ensuring compliance with customer agreements and company policies. You will create credit memos for valid deductions, process chargebacks for invalid claims, collaborate with Customer Service and other cross-functional teams to resolve disputes, and utilize customer portals to obtain documentation and manage claims.

The role also involves preparing reports and account insights to support collections and improve cash flow. The ideal candidate should possess strong Excel and analytical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, Deduction Management, or related Order-to-Cash processes.

Responsibilities

The Deduction Analyst will be responsible for investigating and resolving customer deductions by gathering and reviewing supporting documentation, analyzing deduction data, and validating claims against customer agreements and company policies. The role includes processing credit memos for approved deductions, initiating chargebacks for invalid claims, coordinating with Customer Service and cross-functional teams to obtain required information, managing disputes through customer portals, and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items. The individual will also prepare account-level reports and insights to support collections, drive effective dispute management, and improve overall cash flow performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with 2 to 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, Deduction Management, or related Order-to-Cash processes.



Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in deduction research, adjustment processing, and transaction validation. Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, along with solid attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, is essential.
