Senior Backend Engineer (Python) — Bengaluru, India (hybrid, three days a week in office) We are a B2B software company building data products used by finance and operations teams at large enterprises. We are growing our core platform team and are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who enjoys owning services end to end.

What you will do

- Design, build and run backend services in Python that handle millions of requests a day.
- Own data models and query performance on PostgreSQL.
- Build REST APIs used by our web app and by customer integrations.
- Use Redis for caching and background job queues.
- Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes with Docker, and keep our CI/CD pipelines healthy.
- Review code, mentor two to three engineers, and help make technical decisions for the team.

What we are looking for

- 5 to 8 years of professional backend engineering experience.
- Strong Python and PostgreSQL skills are required.




- Hands-on experience running production services on Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of distributed systems, caching and failure handling.
- Experience with Django or FastAPI.
- Explicit written communication in English.

Nice to have

- Kafka or another event streaming platform.
- Experience with AWS.
- Some exposure to data pipelines or analytics systems. You must be based in Bengaluru or willing to relocate.
