Role Description The Senior Architect role at Orange Elephant Interiors is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role involves leading architectural design from concept to completion, including space planning, detailed drawings, and coordination with interior design and manufacturing teams.

The Senior

Architect will oversee project documentation, review technical drawings, ensure compliance with building codes and standards, and collaborate with consultants, contractors, and vendors. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding junior team members, managing design reviews, resolving design and site-related issues, and ensuring that projects meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations. The role also requires active participation in client meetings,



presenting design proposals, and providing expert input to align project outcomes with client needs.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with demonstrated experience in leading end-to-end design for commercial, residential, retail, or hospitality projects.
- Proficiency in integration-focused work, including coordinating architectural design with interior fit-out, manufacturing processes, and engineering services.
- Proven Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication across multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with software development or technology teams where digital tools, BIM, or design software integration is required.
- Advanced skills in CAD/BIM and other relevant design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp), with strong technical detailing capabilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution and registration or eligibility for qualified licensure (where applicable).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Experience mentoring junior architects and designers, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
