We’re hiring: Security Architect

Contract: 12 months

Experience: 10+ years

We are looking for a hands-on Security Architect to embed security throughout the product-development lifecycle. This role will work closely with engineering, product, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure customer-facing products, systems, APIs, and services are designed to withstand security threats.

Key responsibilities:

- Define and maintain security architecture principles, standards, and reusable secure-design patterns
- Review application, API, cloud, infrastructure, integration, and distributed-system architectures
- Conduct threat modelling, security risk assessments, and design reviews
- Identify attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and control gaps before they become incidents
- Translate security risks into practical and scalable technical controls
- Embed secure coding, testing, deployment, and operational practices into the development lifecycle




- Establish appropriate security requirements and release gates
- Assess third-party services, emerging technologies, and recent integrations
- Support security reviews, audits, certifications, and compliance activities
- Provide security guidance, training, and mentorship to technical teams

Required skills:

- 10+ years of cybersecurity, security architecture, or application-security experience
- Hands-on experience securing customer-facing products
- Strong knowledge of threat modelling, risk assessment, IAM, cloud security, and secure software development
- Experience designing and reviewing security for applications, APIs, cloud platforms, and infrastructure
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
