Role Description:

The Science Trainee internship role is an on-site or off-site monitoring position. The trainee will support laboratory operations team in Environmental Monitoring, Samples collection, preparation, and basic testing related to environmental, food, cosmetics, and minerals analysis, following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.

Day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting in data recording, maintaining lab equipment and work areas, organising test reports,



and helping ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards. The trainee will also shadow senior team members to learn about regulatory frameworks, QHSE practices and sustainability concepts, and may participate in small projects or documentation tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

- A degree in science or diploma in engineering ( Environmental, Chemical or related field preferred).
- Foundational knowledge in laboratory science or related disciplines (e.g., Environmental science, Chemistry ).
- Ability to follow laboratory protocols, safety procedures and quality standards with attention to detail.
- Basic data handling skills, including accurate recording of observations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with curiosity about testing, compliance, and sustainability.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an in office lab environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, handle samples safely, and work in a structured, process-driven setting.
- Willingness to learn about QHSE compliance and regulatory frameworks.
