Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support development, maintenance, and production operations within an SAP ECC 6.0 environment. The role involves working across SAP SD, MM, Retail, and FICO-related processes, supporting system integrations, resolving technical issues, and assisting with the organization's transition to SAP S/4HANA.

The selected candidate will work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and the implementation team to maintain system stability and deliver technical enhancements.

Key Responsibilities SAP ABAP Development

- Develop and maintain ABAP reports, ALV reports, executable programs, Smart Forms, and dialog programs.
- Create and maintain Function Modules, BAPIs, and RFC-enabled functions.
- Implement User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancement Framework solutions.
- Use ABAP Objects and object-oriented programming principles for development and code improvements.
- Schedule and monitor background jobs and troubleshoot execution failures.
- Optimize program performance using efficient SQL queries and tools such as SAT, ST05, and SE30.
- Debug custom and standard SAP programs to identify and resolve technical issues.

SAP Integration
- Develop and support integrations using IDocs, RFC, BAPI, SOAP, and REST APIs.
- Maintain file-based inbound and outbound interfaces, including validation and error handling.
- Troubleshoot IDoc processing, connectivity, queue, and mapping issues.
- Support interfaces connecting SAP with POS, e-commerce, warehouse, and other external applications.

Production Support




- Investigate and resolve SAP incidents within agreed service levels.
- Perform root cause analysis and identify whether issues relate to data, configuration, or custom code.
- Implement corrective actions and document technical resolutions.
- Provide production support, including occasional support outside standard working hours when required.
- Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.

Enhancements and Change Requests
- Understand technical requirements in coordination with functional consultants and business users.
- Prepare technical specifications, effort estimates, and dependency assessments.
- Develop, test, and transport changes according to established change management procedures.
- Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.
- Follow coding standards and maintain appropriate technical documentation.

S/4HANA Transformation Support
- Document existing ECC custom developments, interfaces, dependencies, and business usage.
- Identify obsolete, unused, or duplicate custom developments for potential retirement.
- Assist with custom-code assessment and simplification activities.
- Support code-freeze requirements and dual maintenance where applicable.
- Participate in testing, cutover preparation, and migration-related activities.
- Help maintain ECC production stability throughout the transformation.
- Develop familiarity with S/4HANA data models, ADT/Eclipse, CDS Views, and Fiori.





Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Solid working knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0.
- Experience with ABAP Reports, ALV, Smart Forms, Function Modules, BAPI, and RFC.
- Knowledge of User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancement Framework.
- Good understanding of ABAP Objects and object-oriented programming.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
- Experience with IDocs, RFC, BAPI, SOAP/REST APIs, and file-based interfaces.
- Experience in SAP production support and root cause analysis.
- Exposure to SAP SD, MM, Retail, and/or FICO processes.
- Understanding of ECC custom-code assessment and S/4HANA transformation activities.
- Good communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migration or transformation projects.
- Familiarity with ADT/Eclipse, CDS Views, and Fiori.
- Experience integrating SAP with POS, e-commerce, or warehouse systems.
- Experience collaborating with system integration partners.
- Availability to work according to Singapore business hours.

Contract Details
- Initial contract period of 3 months.
- Contract renewal every 3 months, subject to performance and business requirements.
- Remote working arrangement.
- Monthly budget of up to ₹85,000, subject to relevant experience and agreed terms.
- Background verification is part of the selection process.
