Role Description The Python Backend Developer (Python & SQL) will design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs that support Crucifer’s learning and AI platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient Python code, developing database schemas and SQL queries, integrating data workflows, and optimizing application performance and reliability. The role involves collaborating with product, AI engineering,



and frontend teams to translate business requirements into scalable backend solutions, as well as participating in code reviews, testing, and documentation.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, working closely with the India GDC to build robust systems that support learners, faculty, and partner organizations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Back-End Web Development skills, including API design, RESTful services, and integration with frontend applications.

- Candidates should possess solid Software Development skills, with experience in Python-based server frameworks, version control (e.g., Git), and software engineering best practices.

- Candidates should possess proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and code optimization.

- Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Databases, particularly SQL, relational schema design, query optimization, and data integrity.

- Additional beneficial qualifications include experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and basic familiarity with AI/ML workflows.

- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team workplace.
