Ability to reason about performance, reliability, and scalability. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Build and evolve Ruby/Rails applications and APIs with clean, maintainable architecture.

Work confidently with ActiveRecord and relational databases, including query optimization, indexing, transactions, and data modeling. Diagnose performance bottlenecks across application, database, and API layers.



Investigate and resolve production issues using logs, monitoring, stack traces, and root-cause analysis.

Design and operate background processing workflows using Sidekiq or similar systems, with attention to retries, failures, concurrency, and idempotency. Apply appropriate data structures and algorithms to solve engineering problems efficiently. Conduct meaningful code reviews, focusing on correctness, maintainability, scalability, and potential production risks.

Working knowledge of the above areas is expected; deep theoretical expertise is not a prerequisite.
