Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MEP Quantity Surveyor (MEP QS) role based in Mumbai with Taisei India. The role involves preparing and reviewing quantity take-offs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works, supporting accurate cost estimation and budgeting for ongoing projects. The MEP QS will assist in tender preparation and evaluation, coordinate with design and project teams to clarify specifications, and help track variations and change orders.

Daily tasks include maintaining measurement records, supporting the preparation of bills of quantities, assisting in subcontractor evaluation, and contributing to progress reports and cost control documentation.



The position requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure MEP works are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in MEP quantity surveying, including measurement, cost estimation, and preparation of bills of quantities.
- Knowledge of building construction processes, MEP systems, and relevant standards or codes applicable to large commercial or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with quantity surveying or estimation software; basic CAD skills are an advantage.
- Effective communication and coordination abilities, with strong analytical, numerical, and documentation skills.
- Relevant academic background such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
- Prior experience in MEP QS or related roles in construction projects, preferably with exposure to large-scale or international contractors.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate in a multicultural, team-oriented environment.
