The I.T.

Systems

Administrator is responsible for the support, administration, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of business-critical on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure cloud environment.

This position requires an experienced, highly self-motivated IT professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively within a global IT organization. The successful candidate will support a diverse portfolio of hybrid infrastructure environment consisting of Dell server platforms, enterprise storage systems, Windows Server technologies, Active Directory services, Hyper-V virtualization, file services, and Azure cloud infrastructure..

Working as part of the Infrastructure team, this role collaborates closely with Application, Network, Development, Data, Project, and Service Desk teams, as well as external software vendors and service providers.





The ideal candidate is a strong infrastructure and cloud professional with expertise across on-premises data center technologies, Microsoft Azure services, enterprise storage platforms, Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Active Directory. A strong focus on Azure infrastructure and code provisioning.

This position is fully onsite and reports remotely within a global IT organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Dell server infrastructure, enterprise storage platforms, and Windows-based infrastructure services.
- Manage and maintain enterprise file servers, file shares, permissions, and storage resources.
- Support and maintain clustered Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization environments.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Azure and AWS infrastructure services.
- Proactively identify technical debt, supportability risks, and opportunities for improvement across on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Provision, deploy, and manage Azure resources following governance and security standards.
- Manage Azure RBAC, Entra ID permissions, Azure Firewall, DNS services, network security and connectivity solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform as a core competency of cloud administration for provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Participate in application and infrastructure deployment projects and ensure operational readiness prior to go-live.
- Review technical documentation and ensure supported systems remain properly documented and maintainable.
- Work within established ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis across server, storage, virtualization, cloud, networking, DNS, authentication, and security layers.
- Provide 3rd Level infrastructure support for complex technical incidents and service requests locally and remotely.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, incident reports, and Root Cause Analysis documentation.
- Collaborate with software vendors, service providers, business users, project teams, and global IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Participate in regular remote meetings and communications using Microsoft Teams, email, and ticket management systems.

Education

- Computer Science degree, Information Technology degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

The Following Certifications Are Considered An Asset:

- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- Microsoft certifications related to Windows Server, Virtualization, Azure,



Infrastructure Administration, or Enterprise Applications
- Cisco CCNA or similar

Experience & Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience implementing, supporting, and managing enterprise infrastructure environments in a complex, global environment.
- Strong experience with Dell servers, storage systems including NAS / SAN, Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V and file services.
- Strong Azure administration experience including provisioning, permissions, firewall and DNS management.
- Hands-on Terraform experience for Infrastructure as Code deployments
- Experience working within ITIL-based support processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to independently learn and support unfamiliar systems and technologies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to create technical documentation, operational procedures, incident reports, and Root Cause Analysis documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of AWS core infrastructure and cloud services.
- Experience with Citrix, Linux, Docker, or related infrastructure technologies.
- Experience with Dynatrace monitoring solutions.
- Experience troubleshooting Kerberos authentication issues.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
