Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Performance Testing Engineer to assess application scalability, stability, responsiveness, and resource utilization under varying workloads. The candidate will design and execute performance tests, identify bottlenecks, analyze system behavior, and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve application performance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze application architecture, business requirements, and performance expectations to define test strategies.
- Develop performance test plans, workload models, scripts, and execution scenarios.
- Conduct load, stress, spike, endurance, and scalability testing.
- Simulate concurrent users, transaction volumes, and production-like workloads.
- Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
- Monitor response times, throughput, error rates, CPU utilization, memory consumption, and database performance.
- Identify performance bottlenecks across application, database, network, and infrastructure layers.
- Perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues.
- Execute baseline, benchmarking, and comparative performance tests.
- Validate application performance against service-level objectives and non-functional requirements.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines where appropriate.




- Prepare detailed performance test reports, findings, and optimization recommendations.
- Support capacity planning, release readiness, and production performance investigations.

Required Skills :

- 6 - 10 years of experience in performance testing and engineering.
- Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and workload modelling.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
- Experience scripting performance test scenarios and handling dynamic test data.
- Knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, REST APIs, and web application architecture.
- Experience monitoring application, database, and infrastructure performance.
- Understanding of SQL and database performance analysis.
- Knowledge of response time, throughput, concurrency, latency, and resource utilization metrics.
- Experience with performance bottleneck identification and root-cause analysis.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or Current Relic.
- Exposure to cloud performance testing and scalable distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and microservices performance analysis.
- Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of capacity planning and performance benchmarking.
