AI Academia is a Kolkata-based startup that helps students and working professionals learn and apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) through practical, industry-oriented programs.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and organised Human Resource Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations and support the complete employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to employee engagement and exit formalities.

You will work directly with the founder and gain hands-on experience in HR management and startup operations. Based on your performance, there is an opportunity to transition into a full-time role after the internship.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with recruitment, including posting job openings, screening resumes, shortlisting candidates, and scheduling interviews.
- Manage employee onboarding, joining formalities, and exit documentation.
- Maintain attendance and leave records and prepare monthly salary inputs.
- Prepare offer letters and maintain employee files, HR records, and policies.
- Organise team activities and support employee engagement initiatives.




- Assist with daily HR administration and help maintain a positive workplace culture.

Eligibility Criteria

- Graduate in any discipline. Candidates with an MBA, BBA, or PGDM in HR will have an added advantage.
- Freshers and candidates with up to one year of experience are welcome.
- Must be available to work full-time and not attending regular college classes.
- Positive spoken and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Basic knowledge of Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Chat GPT and other AI tools.
- Knowledge of Bengali will be an added advantage.

Employment Details

- Duration: 6 months
- Stipend: ₹10,000–₹14,000 per month
- Working Days: 6 days a week, with one weekly off of your choice
- Working Hours: 10:45 AM–8:00 PM
- Work Location: Eco space, New Town, Kolkata
- Expected Joining: Within 15 days
