Job Title: Freelance Hindi Transcriber & Audio Editor

Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Freelance Hindi Transcriber and Editor to convert, review, and polish spoken Hindi audio into accurate written text. In this role, you will work on language data, AI speech training, subtitles, or media transcription projects, ensuring word-level precision, proper grammar, and exact timestamp alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Audio Transcription: Listen to Hindi audio/video recordings and transcribe spoken words into clean, standard Devanagari Hindi text.
- Editing & Proofreading: Audit, edit, and correct machine-generated or raw transcripts for spelling, punctuation, syntax, and context.
- Timestamp & Alignment: Adjust word-level or segment-level timestamps and audio synchronization to match project specifications.
- Quality Control: Flag ambiguous audio, overlapping speech, background noise, or dialects/Hinglish segments that require special handling.
- Style Guide Compliance: Follow strict client-specific formatting, punctuation, and metadata-tagging guidelines consistently.




- Asynchronous Delivery: Meet project deadlines independently while managing a flexible, remote schedule.

Required Qualifications:

- Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Hindi (written and spoken) with a solid grasp of regional nuances, grammar, and vocabulary.
- Listening Skills: Exceptional listening comprehension to parse varied accents, fast speech, or low-audio-quality files.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in spelling and typing speed in Devanagari script.
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously and meet turnaround targets under minimal supervision.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

- Prior experience in transcription, translation, subtitle editing, or closed-captioning.
- Familiarity with AI data annotation tools, transcription software, or foot pedals.
- Knowledge of English-to-Hindi or Hindi-to-English translation work.
- Background in linguistics, media, or content editing.

Pay: ₹250.00 - ₹500.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Saket, Delhi, Delhi
