We are looking for a hands-on Full-Stack Technical Lead to build and deliver enterprise applications using Python, Django, Django REST Framework, React, and Next.js.

You will own technical implementation across the frontend, backend, databases, and deployment, while guiding a team of developers. The role requires strong backend engineering depth, practical frontend expertise, and the ability to translate business requirements into reliable, secure, and maintainable software. You should be comfortable writing code, reviewing architecture, resolving production issues, and taking features through to release.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead full-stack development: Design, develop, and maintain applications using Python, Django, DRF, Next.js, React, and TypeScript. Take ownership of features from technical design through implementation, testing, and production release.
- Own technical design and architecture: Translate product and business requirements into clear technical designs, data models, API contracts, and implementation plans. Choose appropriate monolithic, modular monolithic, or microservices architectures based on application needs.
- Build robust backend services: Develop reusable business logic and well-structured APIs with appropriate validation, authentication, authorization, pagination, versioning, and error handling.
- Develop responsive frontend applications: Build accessible, reusable interfaces using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS or equivalent frameworks.

- Manage frontend data and application state: Implement API integration, data fetching, caching, and state management using suitable tools such as Zustand or Redux. Deliver clear loading, error, and empty states across user journeys.
- Own database design and performance: Design and maintain PostgreSQL or MySQL schemas.

Optimize

Django ORM usage, SQL queries, indexes, transactions,



and locking to support reliable concurrent reads and writes.

- Implement asynchronous and real-time workflows: Use Redis, Celery, and Celery Beat for caching, background processing, and scheduled tasks. Apply event-driven messaging and WebSockets where required, with appropriate retry and failure handling.
- Improve application performance and security: Identify bottlenecks across browser rendering, APIs, databases, and background workers. Implement secure access controls, secrets management, and protection against common web application vulnerabilities.
- Support deployment and operational reliability: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments on AWS or equivalent cloud platforms. Work with Docker, Nginx, and application servers such as Gunicorn or Uvicorn; support migrations, release checks, and rollback procedures.
- Establish engineering quality: Define coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure meaningful unit, integration, and end-to-end test coverage. Maintain technical documentation and API specifications using OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Lead and mentor developers: Break requirements into actionable tasks, estimate effort, identify dependencies, and guide junior and mid-level engineers. Remain actively involved in implementation and help the team resolve technical blockers.
- Collaborate on delivery and production support: Work with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver agreed scope. Communicate technical risks early, investigate production incidents, and implement improvements that prevent recurrence.

Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, including substantial hands-on experience with Python/Django and React/Next.js, and demonstrated technical ownership of production applications.




- Experience leading a small engineering team or owning a significant application module, including technical planning, code reviews, mentoring, and release delivery.
- Robust backend expertise: Python, Django, Django REST Framework, Django ORM, REST API design, and maintainable application architecture.
- Strong frontend capability: React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including responsive design, reusable components, App Router, Server and Client Components, and server-side rendering.
- Practical experience with frontend state management, API integration, caching, and performance optimization. Understanding of SEO requirements for public-facing applications.
- Database engineering: Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design, migrations, indexing, query optimization, transactions, and concurrency control.
- Background processing and caching: Hands-on experience with Redis and Celery, including task scheduling, retries, and reliable background execution.
- Cloud and DevOps: Experience deploying and supporting applications on AWS or an equivalent cloud platform using Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Nginx, and appropriate application servers.
- Security: Practical understanding of authentication and authorization, role-based access control, JWT, OAuth2, and secure session and token handling.
- Testing and troubleshooting: Experience with automated backend and frontend testing, production debugging, structured logging, application monitoring, and root cause analysis.
- Engineering fundamentals: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, separation of concerns, and software design principles.
- Proficiency with Git, pull request workflows, Agile/Scrum practices, and technical documentation.
- Clear communication, sound technical judgment, and the ability to balance delivery timelines with maintainability, performance, and reliability.

Additional experience that would be valuable: FastAPI, Kafka or similar messaging systems, Django Channels/WebSockets, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and observability tools such as Sentry, Grafana, or the ELK Stack.

Experience integrating AI services into enterprise applications is also useful.
