We’re looking to collaborate with a freelance womenswear designer who shares our passion for timeless aesthetics, contemporary silhouettes, and elevated design.

Role Description The Freelance Fashion Designer will work full time , developing original designs that align with Samatva India’s aesthetic and brand values. Day-to-day responsibilities include conceptualizing and sketching collections, selecting fabrics and trims, and collaborating with pattern makers and tailors to refine fit and construction. The role involves creating detailed technical specifications, reviewing samples, and providing feedback to ensure premium craftsmanship and comfort across all garments.

The Fashion

Designer will also research trends, textiles, and techniques, while maintaining a timeless and sophisticated design direction. Regular virtual collaboration with cross-functional teams, including production and marketing, is expected to ensure cohesive collections and effective brand storytelling.

Qualifications





- Strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, with the ability to create cohesive, high-quality collections.
- Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric properties, sourcing, and suitability for luxury, comfort-focused garments.
- Experience with Embroidery and decorative techniques to enhance premium craftsmanship and detailing.
- Proficiency in Fitting, pattern review, and garment construction to ensure superior comfort and silhouette.
- Ability to use design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CAD tools) for technical drawings and presentations.
- Robust visual communication skills, attention to detail, and a refined sense of aesthetics.
- Effective remote collaboration skills, including time management and clear communication with virtual teams.
- Preferred: Formal education in Fashion Design or a related field, and prior experience in luxury or premium apparel.
