We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) for the FMCG industry in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distributor networks, expanding market coverage, and leading sales teams to achieve business targets.

The candidate should have strong market knowledge, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in FMCG sales and distribution management.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute area-wise sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Manage and expand distributor, dealer, retailer, and wholesaler networks.
- Drive primary and secondary sales across the assigned territory.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market penetration.
- Lead, guide, and monitor sales executives and field sales representatives.
- Conduct regular market visits to assess product availability, visibility, pricing, and competitor activities.
- Ensure effective product placement, merchandising, and promotional activities.
- Monitor sales performance, stock movement, distributor performance, and market trends.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and territory performance updates for management.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and adherence to company sales policies.




- Implement company schemes and promotional campaigns to improve sales and market share.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of FMCG sales and distribution channels.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
- Experience in distributor appointment and channel management.
- Robust team-handling and leadership capabilities.
- Good market analysis and competitor tracking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting.
- Ability to plan territory coverage and manage field sales operations.

Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Graduate in any discipline; an MBA in Sales or Marketing will be an advantage.
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant FMCG sales experience preferred.
- Experience as an Area Sales Manager, Territory Sales Manager, or in a similar sales leadership role is preferred.
- Candidates with a strong understanding of the Ranchi and Jharkhand markets will be preferred.
- Must be willing to travel within the assigned territory as required.
