Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor – C&I; & MEP (Fit-out Projects)

Role Description

We are looking for experienced Cost Managers and Quantity Surveyors for multiple openings across our Pre-Contract and Post-Contract teams, covering Civil & Interiors (C&I;) and MEP packages for commercial fit-out projects.

This is a full-time, in office role based in Bengaluru.

Depending on the candidate’s experience and specialization, the role will focus on C&I; Pre-Contract, C&I; Post-Contract, MEP Post-Contract, or a combination of these areas.

Candidates available for immediate joining or with a short notice period will be highly preferred.





Key Responsibilities

Pre-Contract – C&I;

- Preparation of preliminary estimates, detailed cost plans and project budgets.
- Quantity take-offs and preparation of detailed BOQs for Civil & Interiors packages.
- Review of drawings, specifications and scope requirements.
- Tendering, bid evaluation and preparation of commercial comparatives and tender reports.
- Rate analysis, benchmarking and market testing.
- Vendor/contractor negotiations and commercial recommendations.
- Support Value Engineering exercises and identify cost-effective alternatives.
- Assist in preparation and finalisation of contract documents and commercial terms.

Post-Contract – C&I; & MEP

- Measurement and verification of executed works.
- Review and certification of contractor/vendor bills.
- Project cost monitoring, cost reporting and budget control.
- Assessment, negotiation and certification of variations/change orders.
- Preparation of cost reports, committed cost statements and forecasts.
- Cost reconciliation and tracking of approved budgets against actual expenditure.
- Commercial and contractual coordination with contractors/vendors.
- Final account negotiation and closure.




- Support project teams in managing commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience

- Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, preferably within commercial fit-out projects.
- Candidates may have specialization in Civil & Interiors (C&I;), MEP, or both.
- Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost planning, tendering and commercial evaluation.
- For Post-Contract positions, experience in measurements, billing, variation assessment, cost reporting, reconciliation and final accounts.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and other relevant project drawings and specifications.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and relevant cost management/estimation tools.
- Good analytical, commercial, negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, packages and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience with a Cost Consultancy / Quantity Surveying Consultancy and commercial fit-out projects will be preferred.
- MRICS or equivalent professional qualification would be an added advantage.
