Role Description This is a full-time remote Copywriter role. The Copywriter will craft clear, engaging copy for digital channels, including app content, email campaigns, social media, and marketing assets.

Responsibilities include developing culturally informed narratives, writing and refining quiz prompts and micro-copy, and collaborating with product and marketing teams to ensure consistent brand voice. The role also involves editing and proofreading content for accuracy, tone, and clarity, as well as drafting press materials and promotional copy.



The Copywriter will support ongoing content experiments and campaign iterations based on user feedback and performance data.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Writing and Proofreading skills for clear, accurate, and engaging content.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate across product, design, and marketing teams.
- Candidates should possess experience with Marketing and promotional copy tailored to digital audiences.
- Candidates should possess the ability to draft Press Releases and other media-facing materials.
- Familiarity with African cultures, languages, or the diaspora context is highly beneficial.
- Experience writing for edtech, apps, or consumer digital products is a plus.
- Solid attention to detail, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and time management skills are required.
- A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
