Job Purpose

We are seeking a visionary Chief Architect / Senior Director of Engineering with 15–20 years of hands-on and strategic software engineering experience to lead the modernization, architecture, and overall technical strategy of our web applications and platform ecosystem.

In this executive engineering role, you will define high-level architecture, modernize legacy PHP stacks to the latest Laravel versions (Laravel 12/13), oversee high-concurrency microservices, integrate AI/ML workflows, drive cloud-native standards (AWS/GCP), and mentor engineering directors, tech leads, and development teams.

Key Responsibilities1. Technical Strategy & Enterprise Architecture

- System Design & Modernization: Architect, evaluate, and evolve high-scale, fault-tolerant enterprise applications handling millions of daily requests using PHP 8.x, modern Laravel, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Legacy Refactoring & Migrations: Lead multi-year migration strategies moving legacy PHP monoliths (Core PHP, CodeIgniter, Symfony, older Laravel versions) into scalable, API-first microservices or clean, modular monoliths.
- Technology Roadmap: Partner with executive leadership (CTO, VP of Product) to translate business goals into a robust, future-proof engineering and technology roadmap.
- Ecosystem Integration: Design vector/semantic search mechanisms, API gateways, queues, and AI/LLM integrations using contemporary Laravel ecosystem tools (Laravel AI SDK, Reverb, Horizon,

2. Engineering Standards & Governance
- Technical Governance: Establish organization-wide standards for code quality, automated testing (Pest / PHPUnit), security policies (OWASP, CSRF, identity/OAuth2), and CI/CD pipelines.Swaraa Tech Solutions
- Performance & Scalability: Optimize database queries, caching strategies (Redis, Memcached), asynchronous queues, and database engines (PostgreSQL, MySQL/Aurora, MongoDB) for extreme load handling.IT Path Solutions
- DevOps & Infrastructure Oversight: Work with Infrastructure/SRE teams to design cloud architecture, containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and zero-downtime deployment pipelines.

3. Leadership, Mentorship & Vendor Management
- Team Development: Direct and mentor Technical Leads, Engineering Managers, and Senior Developers, driving a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Hiring & Scaling: Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract top-tier engineering talent and build high-performing engineering organizations.
- Vendor & Tooling Decisions: Evaluate third-party SaaS, APM tools (Datadog, New Relic), cloud services, and external agencies/consultants to maximize ROI and developer efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Total Experience:



15 years of software development experience, with at least 8–10 years spent in core PHP and Laravel ecosystems at a lead or architectural scale.
- Architecture Track Record: Proven experience designing and operating large-scale SaaS platforms, e-commerce engines, or enterprise web platforms handling high concurrency and volume.
- Deep PHP & Laravel Expertise:
- Mastery of PHP 8.x features (Attributes, Fiber, JIT, type systems).IT Path Solutions
- Deep internals knowledge of Laravel (Service Container, Middleware pipelines, Eloquent ORM tuning, Laravel Reverb, Horizon, Octane, Swoole/RoadRunner).Laravel
- Database & Data Architectural Mastery:
- Advanced SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, and read-replica strategies in MySQL / PostgreSQL.
- Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Redis) and vector databases for semantic search.
- Cloud & DevOps: Deep expertise in AWS / GCP / Azure services, Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless architecture, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Pay: ₹26,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
