Summary We are looking for an experienced Business Data Architect to drive end-to-end data flow mapping, data lineage documentation, data inventory management, and gap analysis. The role will bridge business stakeholders, data engineering, and IT teams to establish a reliable, governed, and business-aligned data landscape.

Responsibilities
- Design and maintain end-to-end data flow maps and lineage documentation, tracing critical data elements from source systems through data lake zones to downstream reporting and analytics.
- Manage data inventories, catalogues, and dictionaries while aligning business data requirements with conceptual and logical data models.
- Conduct data availability assessments, gap analysis, and data hydration planning across markets and products to support data consolidation initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, IT teams, and programme leaders to validate data flows, facilitate workshops, and translate business needs into actionable data requirements.
- Maintain data governance documentation, ownership matrices, and data classification records while ensuring compliance with data privacy, regulatory, and audit requirements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, business data analysis, or information architecture, including at least 3 years in data flow mapping, lineage, or data landscape documentation.
- Solid understanding of data architecture, conceptual and logical data modelling, data lakes/lakehouses, data marts, and Master Data Management (MDM).
- Hands-on experience with SQL-based data profiling and validation, data catalogues, metadata management, and tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Visio, ErWin, or Lucidchart.
- Experience in insurance or financial services, preferably in data foundation, data lake, or data governance programmes, with knowledge of underwriting, claims, policy, or reinsurance data.
- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work across business, technology, and engineering teams. Relevant certifications such as DAMA CDMP or TOGAF are preferred.
