We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grain (maize and rice) Purchase Head for our Distillery Ethanol Unit in Ahmedabad. This role requires a thorough understanding of grain purchasing, with a focus on maize and rice, to ensure a robust supply chain for ethanol production.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for maize and rice that align with production needs and market trends, ensuring consistent supply at optimal prices.

2. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to build strong relationships and secure high-quality grains while managing risks associated with supply continuity.

3. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and crop forecasts pertaining to maize and rice in order to make informed purchasing decisions and adjust strategies accordingly.

4. Team Leadership: Supervise the procurement team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective purchasing processes and compliance with company policies.

5. Collaboration with Production:



Work closely with the production and operations teams to understand their grain requirements and successfully align purchasing strategies to meet production schedules.

Required Skills and Expectations:

The successful candidate will have 10-15 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in grain purchasing, particularly maize and rice. A graduate degree is required.
