The Role
About the role

Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world’s MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission. You’ll join a global community of experts who share knowledge openly and collaborate freely to shape the future of Java modernization.

In this position, you will design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic while refactoring legacy code to enable seamless integration with up-to-date cloud and mobile applications. Beyond technical execution,



you will bring strong leadership skills to guide and mentor an offshore engineering team over the long term.

Key Responsibilities

• Microservices Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 4.
• Event Streaming & Kafka: Implement real-time event streaming solutions using Apache Kafka to consume, transform, enrich, and publish streaming data.
• Data Integration & Persistence: Implement change-detection logic, publish event updates, and optimize data persistence within MySQL databases.
• Cloud & Resiliency Architecture: Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure PaaS, ensuring fault-tolerant, scalable, and highly available streaming architectures.
• Reliability & Testing: Configure robust retry mechanisms, dead-letter topics, and idempotent processing while writing comprehensive unit, integration, and performance tests.
• DevOps & Delivery: Collaborate closely with Dev
