Job Description: P.E. Teacher

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Physical Education (P.E.) Teacher to lead the school's physical education and sports programme. The ideal candidate has solid knowledge of a wide range of sports, preferably with a specialization in Basketball, and experience teaching P.E. to senior secondary students (Classes 11 and 12).

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging P.E. lessons for students, including Classes 11 and 12, in line with the school curriculum.
Teach and coach a variety of sports and games, with a particular focus on Basketball.
Train and select school teams and prepare students for inter-school, district and state-level competitions.
Promote fitness, discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship among students.
Organise sports days, tournaments, practice sessions and other physical activities.
Ensure protected use of playgrounds,



courts and equipment, and maintain sports inventory.
Assess student participation and performance, and maintain records.
Coordinate with class teachers, parents and school management on student progress and sports events.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Specialization in Basketball preferred, with working knowledge of all major sports and games.
Experience teaching P.E. to Classes 11 and 12.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a school.
Good English communication skills, both spoken and written.
Relevant degree or diploma in Physical Education (e.g. B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed) preferred.
