Key responsibilities
Food preparation: Prepare vegetables, sauces, stocks, marinades, salads, pasta ingredients, garnishes, and other mise en place as instructed.
Cooking support: Assist in preparing European café dishes according to approved recipes, portion sizes, and plating standards.
Section readiness: Ensure ingredients, utensils, equipment, and workstation supplies are ready before service.
Food safety: Follow personal hygiene, sanitation, temperature control, cross-contamination prevention, and FIFO/FEFO procedures.
Inventory: Check ingredient freshness, label and date products, report shortages, and record wastage.
Service execution: Assist senior chefs during peak hours and ensure timely preparation and dispatch.
Cleaning and maintenance: Clean workstations, utensils, equipment, and storage areas according to the cleaning schedule.
Training: Learn recipes, knife skills, cooking techniques, equipment operation, and kitchen SOPs.
Teamwork: Follow instructions, communicate shortages or quality concerns, and support other sections when assigned.

Commis Chef checklist

Daily opening - Attendance, grooming,



workstation sanitation, equipment readiness, ingredient freshness, mise en place

During service - Recipe adherence, portion control, KOT priorities, hygiene, replenishment, wastage recording

Daily closing - Label and store food, discard unsafe items, clean equipment, remove waste, complete handover

Weekly - Deep cleaning, expiry review, stock count assistance, equipment inspection, practical training

Monthly - Hygiene audit participation, recipe knowledge assessment, inventory support, performance review

Qualifications
Higher Secondary education preferred; culinary or hotel-management qualification is an advantage.
Freshers may apply if willing to learn and follow kitchen discipline.
Experienced candidates should demonstrate basic knife skills, food preparation, hygiene, and teamwork.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
