Role Overview

Geographic accountability for Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, in and around locations. The West markets represent the largest and most sophisticated C&I; solar prospect in India. State-specific regulatory complexity — makes this role require deeper regulatory fluency than the North.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and qualify C&I; electricity consumers with annual consumption above 20 lakh units in MadhyaPradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Lead end-to-end sales from initial outreach through proposal negotiation to signed agreement
Navigate state-specific open access approval complexity and work with Regulatory Affairs on timelines for customer qualification
Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs Manager on state-specific approval timelines and deal qualification
Build relationships with energy consultants, auditing firms, and brokers who influence C&I; energy buying decisions
Report weekly pipeline, conversion rates, and West market competitive intelligence to CBO

Must-Have Profile
5–8 years B2B energy sales with demonstrated track record in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra markets




Deep understanding of state-specific open access: Madhya Pradesh , Maharashtra, Gujarat
Established network among C&I; consumers, energy consultants, or developer communities in assigned geography
Strong commercial acumen — can discuss financial benefit calculations with CFOs and energy managers

Preferred / Bonus
Existing relationships with data center operators, pharma manufacturers, or auto ancillary companies in West India
Understanding of state-specific open access charges, banking regulations, and RPO obligations
Track record of closing solar or energy service agreements with ticket sizes above Rs. 5 Cr

Success Metrics — First 12–24 Months
Signed MWp per quarter — target 10–15 MWp given larger market chance
Pipeline coverage ratio above 10x at all times
Deal conversion rate from qualified prospect to signed agreement — target above 25%
Number of anchor accounts with 50+ MWp potential established — target 3 by Year 1 end

Pay: Up to ₹1,500,000.00 per year
