We are looking for a skilled and creative News Editor to join our media team. The ideal candidate should have strong editorial judgment, excellent language skills, and the ability to work in a rapid-paced news setting.

Key Responsibilities
Edit and proofread news articles, scripts, headlines, and other news content.
Verify facts, names, dates, and information before publication.
Ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar, and journalistic standards.
Coordinate with reporters, writers, video editors, and the news production team.
Develop compelling headlines and ensure timely delivery of news content.
Review news stories for balance, relevance, and credibility.
Meet daily editorial deadlines and breaking-news requirements.
Follow the company's editorial guidelines and ethical standards.





Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in news editing, journalism, or digital media.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong fact-checking, proofreading, and editorial skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of digital news platforms and current affairs.
