Role - Costing Manager / Deputy Manager

Reports to Finance Controller

Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities:
Manage and supervise daily plant operations and related accounting entries, to ensure all the entries are accounted for on a daily basis.
Coordinate with production department to obtain production data and compare the same with the entries recorded in the accounting system.
Periodic analysing of standard costs versus actual costs , identify variances, and provide explanations and recommendations to management for appropriate changes in the system.
Periodic review of Bills of Materials (BOM) and updation in the system after approval.
Periodic review of route cost and updation in the system after approval.




Preparation/review of costing workings of all the existing products and estimates of costs for recent products.
Train, mentor and monitoring costing staff members (local + expats).
Responsible for planning and coordination of the perpetual stock count to minimise the variances of the stock as per books and stock as per books.
Collaborate with plant teams to ensure consistent costing practices and policies as well as production planning on a daily basis.

Secondary responsibilities:
Address and resolve issues and concerns in a prompt and effective manner with other departments.
Preparation and presentation of costing reports to seniors for decision making.
Any other job which senior assigns from time to time.
